Forest School

Here at Roselands we are very lucky to have a level 3 forest school lead. We also work alongside Roselands Primary School. We like to work together to make connections and create familiarities for the children. This also helps to make smooth transitions for the children as this gives some experiences to school life.

This first half of term some of the children have been taking part in forest school over at the school’s site which has been very cleverly created allowing the children to learn and explore in the natural environment.
The children have had a wonderful time with members of our staff. During that time they have been building bug houses and bird feeders. They had a brilliant time creating a mudslide on a slope, they explored the area by rolling logs and stones to find bugs and insects. Using the mud kitchen to make mud pies and cakes was definitely a favourite as well as making nature bracelets.

We will continue to take part in forest school over the next few months allowing all children to take part in this brilliant learning adventure.
