Roselands Community Nursery and Playschool is a 57 place childcare facility in a purpose built nursery next to the Roselands Primary School. The building was opened in 2004 although the playschool had existed prior to this in a converted shop. We have convenient parking for dropping off and collecting children, we also have all weather outdoor play areas.
We encourage staff, parents and children to use public transport or walk wherever possible. Our business is about the future and we would like to be proactive in making that future safer and cleaner for your children, however we do understand that this is not always easy. We try to achieve this by making available to staff and parents all the necessary information and facilities to enable them to use safer, less polluting modes of transport.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, part of the Government's National Curiculum with all of our children. The main emphasis of this curriculum is helping to support children to learn and develop using their individual interests and needs.
We are fully Ofsted inspected and also accredited by the Pre-school Learning Alliance. Our premises are monitored inside and out by a CCTV system and we also have controlled entry doors and gates to the nursery.
Within the building we offer care for different aged children in four main rooms: Yellow, Green, Red and Blue. This enables us to set out each room to encourage learning through play appropriate to their age group, whilst allowing them to develop at their own pace.
To try and ensure we meet your childcare needs our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 6 pm and we offer breakfast, afterschool and holiday club for children that currently attend primary school
